Ava and Jacob met at their grade school, St Henry, when Ava’s family moved to Tennessee. According to their moms, they met at VBS the summer before starting 2nd grade, however neither of them remember this. From Jacobs perspective the first memory of Ava was when she “allegedly” bit his finger later that year. Ava claims they were not acquainted until the 4th grade when they were assigned as 4th grade rocket math buddies- To this day we don’t know if we were bad at math or just distracted by the friendship. The pair remained friends and had several classes together for the next few years. At the end of 8th grade, with each of them about to go to different schools Jacob asked Ava out. Ava said yes! But her mom said no. Eventually, Jacob and Ava started dating sophomore year of high school. During this time, they went to many school dances, frequented Edwin Warner park, played a lot of games, and cheered each other on in sporting events. 3 years into their relationship college started and now the pair would be in a long distance relationship with Ava in Alabama and Jacob in Tennessee. 5 years of long distance came to an end when Ava and Jacob both moved home to start their new jobs. Distance no longer a problem, the pair are back to dancing (now at weddings) and frequenting Edwin Warner Park (where they got engaged). They’ve been planning the wedding and getting their new home ready while enjoying finally getting to spend time together without a long drive.
We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding with you! Its meant the world to us to have such an incredible group of people who have surrounded us for such a long time while we’ve been dating. We all knew this was coming eventually :) See you in November!
